Unhealthy Colas

Did you know that "cola" beverages can damage your kidneys?

Studies have been done that show that drinking 16 ounces or more daily (diet or regular cola) can double your risk of chronic kidney disease.

If you want to indulge in a soft drink, stick to non-colas such as Sprite and 7-up. However, water and 100% fruit and vegetable juices are best.

Applefest

It's Applefest time!!!!

Did you know that apples are high in fiber (if you eat the skin) and pectin? Fiber is great to lower cholesterol, aid in digestion and keep you feeling full longer. Pectin limits how much fat the cells in your body actually absorb. How awesome is that? So stock up on all of your favorites and aim for one a day.
